Takashi Homma.
Tokyo, 1962. Vive e lavora a Tokyo.
Takashi Homma è un fotografo giapponese tra i più noti e celebrati. Dopo aver lavorato a Londra come fotografo commerciale per alcune importanti riviste internazionali, a partire dagli Novanta si concentra sempre più sull’analisi territoriale, eseguita prima in Giappone e poi in tutti il mondo, e sull'analisi dello stesso linguaggio fotografico che utilizza. Protagonista di una grande mostra retrospettiva presso il 21st Century Museum di Kanazawa e la Tokyo City Opera Art Gallery. Nel 2014 inizia il progetto The Narcissistic City, pubblicato nell'aprile 2016 dall'editore inglese Mack Books e focalizzato sull'analisi degli edifici più rappresentativi e iconici di numerose città. La mostra in Viasaterna La città narcisista. Milano e altre storie è la sua prima personale in Italia e presenta in esclusiva una nuova serie di opere dedicate alla città di Milano e realizzate nel gennaio 2017. Nel 2019 pubblica l'opera Symphony - Mushrooms from the forest, con Case Publishing, Tokyo. Nel 2021 tiene una mostra al CCA di Montreal interamente dedicata allo studio delle finestre nell'architettura di Le Corbusier, accompagnata da una pubblicazione edita da Walther König con il titolo Looking Through Le Corbusier Windows. Nell'ottobre 2023 ha inaugurato una mostra personale al Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, intitolata Revolution 9.
